Egypt eVisa requirements and eligibility

Prepare for an Egypt Electronic Tourist Visa application and travel with the required documents.

What is the Egypt eVisa?

The Egypt eVisa is an electronic tourist visa for eligible travellers. Once approved, it can be downloaded electronically and its validity can be checked by Egyptian passport authorities at the port of arrival.

Entry options

Single Entry allows one entry into Egypt. Multiple Entry allows multiple entries. This page does not state an unverified validity period or maximum stay.

Apply early

Create the application at least 7 days before departure. This does not mean processing is guaranteed to take seven days.

Passport requirements

Your passport must be valid for at least six months from arrival. This flow does not support diplomatic, service, special, official, temporary, Nansen, refugee, mission, alien or July 51 Agreement passports.

Documents for travel

passport valid for at least six months from arrival;
a printed Egypt eVisa;
travel itinerary;
supporting letter where applicable;
hotel booking or information about places to be visited.

Receiving the eVisa

The application is submitted and processed.
The applicant receives an electronic status update.
After approval, the eVisa can be downloaded.
The traveller prints it and presents it to the immigration officer.

An approved Egypt eVisa does not guarantee admission. Egyptian authorities make the final entry decision.

Accurate and complete information

Incomplete applications may be rejected. Carefully verify every answer and submit separate information and a separate passport for each traveller.
